MediSystem Product Information
MediStuds ear piercing studs are manufactured to meet
strict FDA requirements. MediStuds are not jewelry,
they are sterile disposable ear piercing studs designed specifically to pierce ears.
MediStuds are manufactured from surgical stainless steel
(both studs and clasps), and are available in two finishes- polished surgical stainless steel
and 24K plated gold. 24K gold is used because its purity is preferred by
physicians over inferior grades of gold plating. Lesser K gold should
not be used for piercing.
The post diameter of MediStuds is approximately twice the diameter of a typical
fashion earring. The larger diameter is
essential because it creates a larger opening in the ear lobe, allowing for a safe
and trouble free insertion
of permanent earrings after the 6 week training period. The opening will then close
down naturally to the size of the permanent earrings within four weeks.
Each pair of MediStuds is blister packed and
then sterilized (lot sterilization numbers are imprinted on the back). Boxed in
units of 12 pair, MediStuds come pre-packaged with 12 alcohol prep pads, and 12
"Hold Harmless Agreements with Aftercare Instructions". MediStuds are the most
compact and complete package in the industry.
